Studio Schemes have an enviable reputation built on over 10 years experience designing and building studios for Radio, TV, Music & Voice - We also manufacture and supply acoustic door and window sets as well as designing acoustic correction for wayward acoustic areas.
The company also undertakes project management and acoustic consultancy both nationally and internationally.

Acoustic doors & Window sets

Studio Schemes design and manufacture acoustic door and window sets in their Northamptonshire factory.
We supply clients worldwide as well as use the units in our own designs and construction.

We also manufacture large single and double door sets for TV studios, isolating roller shutters etc.

Acoustic doors sets have powder coated metal strip let into door sides and top to mate to neoprene covered magnetic seals mounted on hard wood doorstops. The bottom door section has a disabled dropper routered into the door base, which seals against the DDA compatible hard wood threshold when the door is closed.
Doors are mounted into thick hard wood frames ready to insert into apertures. Because of varying sizes and wall thickness, doors are made to order to exact sizes required.

Typical products available:

Doors fitted with glazing panels as required to conform to DDA requirements.

Studio Schemes Acoustic Window Sets

Window sets are normally manufactured as double or triple unit sets to allow for any air gaps between the isolation walls, they have solid ash architrave on both sides of the set, 12mm plate glass is used, one per set, mounted into expanding neoprene seals, although for very high drops a third panel can be added.

Exception can be sets to exterior windows set into reveals and windows requiring Pyro Glass or laminated glass due either to fire regulations or overall size and floor clearance. Studio interior panels are normally angled to reflect sound down to floor (or up to absorbent ceiling) to avoid reflection into the recording area.
